Master's Degree in Scenic and Literary Dramaturgy
Objetivos específicos del programa
To develop skills for the critical and specialized analysis of the creative process from the history, philosophy, theory and poetics of theater. To create works that integrate dramatic writing techniques and/or stage direction oriented towards the beginning of an artistic identity. Develop innovative proposals in the field of dramaturgy that integrate theoretical and methodological knowledge that contribute to the reflection on contemporary dramaturgy.
General objective of the program
To train high-level scenic and literary playwrights, capable of integrating specialized theoretical and practical knowledge in the composition of original dramatic works, where an artistic identity that contributes to theatrical development is outlined.
Admission Requirements
- Titulado preferentemente de licenciaturas en artes y humanidades.
- Preferentemente con experiencia en artes escénicas, literatura, guión cinematográfico o performance.
- Ensayo su visión del arte en un mínimo de 3 y un máximo de 5 cuartillas.
- Entrevista con el comité de selección. En el caso de aspirantes fuera del estado de Baja California, ésta se podrá realizar mediante videollamada.
- En caso de candidatos no hispanoparlantes, éstos deberán demostrar el dominio oral y escrito en español.
- En el caso de candidatos extranjeros, éstos deberán tramitar su visa de estudiante con la Secretaría de Relaciones exteriores: https://www.gob.mx/tramites/ficha/visa-de-residente-temporal-estudiante/SRE265

La documentación deberá enviarse a la coordinación del programa en un solo archivo con formato pdf en el siguiente orden:
- Solicitud llena (con número de pre-ficha)
- Escaneado de título de licenciatura (con apostillado en caso de extranjeros)

- CURP (solo para mexicanos)
- Ensayo sobre su visión del arte
- Semblanza
- Carta de motivos
- Constancia de conocimiento del idioma inglés emitida por la Facultad de Idiomas de la UABC u otra instancia acreditada que compruebe que el estudiante cuenta con un nivel A2 de acuerdo al Marco Común Europeo de Referencia de Lenguas Extranjeras.
Degree Profile
- Create, either from the stage or from literature, original and quality dramatic works.
- Produce theoretical texts on its creative process and reflection on its impact on national theater.
- Create theoretical proposals on the methodology and epistemology of dramaturgy, in order to produce academic texts or higher level educational programs.
- Generate their own artistic identity that will allow them to disseminate and position their projects in the theatrical environment.

- As coordinator of projects and/or activities of extension, diffusion
- conservation and artistic and cultural documentation in public or private institutions.
